Hawkins wins major construction award

Hawkins' commitment to Quality, Health and Safety was recognised in June when the Auckland Infrastructure team won the over $10 million project category at the Inaugural Hynds Construction Awards.

Hawkins faced strong competition to take out the award for the Daldy Linear Park and Halsey Street Upgrade at Wynyard Quarter, Auckland Waterfront.

Project Manager Paul McNeil accepted the award at a Gala dinner where it was judged the winner specifically due to its excellent health and safety planning, the level of challenge and difficulty of the project, Hawkins' effective stakeholder management and for the high level of satisfaction overall by the client, Waterfront Auckland.

“I’m thrilled for the project team,” says McNeil, “But also for Auckland's residents and visitors who can now enjoy an award-winning as well as a world-class facility.”
