Matt Wilton is the Wellington regional manager for Hawkins Construction. He leads a team of passionate Wellingtonians who are dedicated to growing a thriving local operation that will contribute to the growth of their local region.

With only a short history operating in the Wellington region, Matt has developed a strong mix of clients that span the commercial, public and institutional sectors. This growing portfolio also includes a number of quality fit-out and specialised niche projects from both existing and emerging clients.

Matt began his career in construction as a quantity surveyor and has worked as a project manager both for the client and main contractor. His ability to approach cost and design-related issues from both of these angles is extremely advantageous to any project.

Matt has valuable international experience, having worked for many years in London on underground projects as well as on various construction projects throughout the UK. He joined Hawkins in 2006 and brings with him considerable understanding of some of the most stringent safety systems and quality protocols in the industry. 

Matt holds a Bachelor in Construction degree, a Diploma of Architectural Technology and an Advanced Certificate in Construction Studies.
