Flat Bush - Auckland Mission Heights Schools

In Flatbush, South Auckland, Hawkins Infrastructure delivered a package of work for the Ministry of Education to enable two new schools to be built on site, including 4 high quality platforms for sports and training fields.

The $10 million contract included site clearance, 100,000m³ earthworks, drainage, roading and the construction of 15 retaining walls, varying from 1-5 metres in heigh. Challenging and varying ground conditions and contours required significant earthworks to prepare the site for the building platforms.

The new schools, Mission Heights Primary School and Junior College, opened their doors to students for the first time on Wednesday 4th February 2009.
