Westpac Charter House, Auckland

The first completed stage of Westpac’s headquarters
in Auckland’s Britomart precinct involved construction of a new $43 million, 8 storey building and the restoration of an existing heritage structure.
This 20 month project, completed for Cooper & Company in November 2008, followed Environmentally Sustainable Design principles and achieved a 4 star Green Star rating.
Innovations included construction of new reinforced concrete structure within the existing façade and roof without the use of an external supporting gantry.
